How to Choose Your Aventon

When selecting your Aventon, consider how and where you plan to ride:

• Step-Over vs. Step-Through (ST): Most Aventon models are available in a Step-Through frame, making it much easier to mount and dismount—especially if you have limited mobility, ride in everyday clothing, or are carrying heavy cargo.
• Hub-Drive vs. Mid-Drive: Traditional hub motors (like on the Level and Pace) are excellent for smooth, steady cruising and commuting. Mid-drive motors (found on the Ramblas, Current, and Aventure M) leverage the bike's gearing to provide superior torque for steep hills and aggressive off-roading.
• Class Options: Many Aventon bikes ship as Class 2 (pedal assist and throttle up to 20 mph) but can be easily adjusted to Class 3 (pedal assist up to 28 mph) via the Aventon app, giving you the flexibility to adapt to local e-bike laws.
