BikeRadar has posted a new review of the 2017 Contend road bike, giving it a near perfect score of4.5 stars (out of 5) and praising the ALUXX aluminum-framed bike for its light weight and all-rounder ride quality.
Comparing it directly against other bikes in its category, BikeRadar editor Simon Withers wrote that the Contend stands out.
“When it came to our local hills, the Giant’s 32-tooth bottom gear, its lack of weight and its lightish wheels meant that it edged most of the opposition on climbs,” Withers wrote. “And there’s really very little this bike can’t do. Over long commutes and day-long rides it proved efficient, comfortable and a joy to ride.”
Summing it up, Withers wrote: “Giant has created yet another very serious contender for the title of well-priced all-round road bike champion.”
