What's your favorite place to ride?
Fave trail is Skyline in Big Bear for a day trip. Locally, I have a love/hate relationship with Calaveras, so I prefer Bobcat Canyon and add on some Denk Mtn.
Fave road route right now is Elfin Forest approx 35 miles. So pretty back there!
What bike do you ride?
Current trail ride is a Santa Cruz 5010 C with XX1 build kit. It's super duper after market match matchy!
Why do you ride?
I ride so that I have LIFE in my life.
What inspires you to ride?
The feeling is Freedom. The healthy struggle and sometimes accomplishment of a tough hill or cleaning a corner or just keeping up with Macare!
What advice would you give your younger self?
Younger self advice - "relax. Open up to others. You'll be okay. "
What are some of your 2017 goals?
- I'm already custom building a fantasy mtn bike in my head.
- To do a century ride in Sept, Gran Fondo.
- To take a mtn bike adventure trip-- anybody up for Tasmania?!
